Start Your Day with Tea

Whether you’re looking for a quick burst of energy or a warm way to ease into the morning, a cup of tea can make the difference you’re seeking.

Here are a few homemade tea recipes that have served me over the past year. Try them out and let me know what you think:

  1. Chai Tea Latte
    • Jeannie Moulton’s recipe serves three people in less than 20 minutes and tastes better than any store bought chai I’ve had. It’s a great blueprint to follow if you’re still discovering how spicy or sweet you prefer your tea.
  2. Ginger Tea
    • Krystelle Fournier shows how to make fresh ginger tea with only four ingredients, including water. If you can, I recommend adding the extra cinnamon stick and mint leaves.
  3. Spring Tea
    • The ingredients in this recipe are more involved, but Emily Han shares how we can balance health and flavor to make the perfect herbal tea. You can modify as needed.
  4. Cold-Fighting Tea
    • The Herbal Academy posted this list in 2014, but I still reference it today. Each recipe’s benefits are listed so you can find the best blend of ingredients for your needs.

Happy Experimenting!
